10 Splendid Monuments Crafted By The Mughal :-
1) Taj Mahal, Agra
Commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, It Stands as an Enduring symbol of love and architectural perfection. The Taj Mahal crown of the palace is an ivory-white marbal mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India it was commissioned in 1631 by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (1628-1658) to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also house the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.
2) Agra Fort
Also known as the Red Fort, emperor Akbar initiated its construction, later enhanced by successory Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. The Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra, and also known as Agra's Red Fort. Mughal emperor Humayun was crowned at this fort.
3) Fatehpur Sikri
Built by emperor Akbar, this well-preserved city served as the Mughal capital briefly, showcasing diverse architectural styles. Fatehpur Sikri is a town in the Agra District of Uttar Pradesh, India.
4) Humayun's Tomb, Delhi
Constructed for emperor Humayun by empress Bega Begum, it serves as a precursor to the Taj Mahal. this tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first Garden-Tomb on the India subcontinent.
5) Red Fort, Delhi
Another masterpiece commissioned by emperor Shah Jahan, it served as the principal residence for Mughal emperors. Mughal architecture, building style that flourished in northern and central India under the patronage of the Mughal emperors from the mid-16th to the late 17th century.
6) Bibi Ka Maqbara, Aurangabad
Commissioned by emperor Aurangzeb, it resembles the Taj Mahal and is dedicated to his mother, Dilras Bano Begum. Bibi ka Maqbara was built by Mughal Aurangzeb in the late 17th century. According to historians, this tomb was built by Azam Shah in the memory of Dilras Bano Begum.
7) Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid was constucted in 1650-56 by the Mughal king Shah Jahan. The splendid structure is the blend of white marble and red sandstone. It also comprises three imposing gates, four towers, two 131 feet gigantic minarets, and three massive domed. The Mosque can accommodate about 25,000 people at a time for the prayer.
8) Purana Qila
Purana Qila is one of the oldest forts in Delhi, India. built by the second Mughal emperor Humayun and Surid Sultan Sher Shah Suri, it is thought by many to be located on the site of the ancient city of indraprastha.
9) Safdarjung Tomb
The tomb of Safdarjung was built by Nawab Shujaud Daula in the year 1754. The building served as the mausoleum of Safdarjung, who was the viceroy under Mughal Emperor Mohommad Shah.
10) Kabuli Bagh Masjid
The Kabuli Bagh Masjid is a mosque in Panipat, Haryana, India which was built in 1527 by the emperor Babar to mark his victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi at the first Battle of Panipat in 1526. The mosque is named after Kabuli Begum, Babar's wife.
